Star trek the Next Generation post

i learned how that theres alot of series and movies of star trek, also learned that its very popular, i also learned that nerd culture is now pop culture. One thing i didn't like is how they just talk so much about star trek i really dont like it to me its boring, one thing i did like though was how they explained how far its come through the years. Why was this article only about star trek anyway?
