Rotoscoping week is evil

this week isn't going well for me i work as fast as i can but it seems to go so slow with this rotoscoping project.

I learned this week that i really am not a big fan of frame by frame its so evil why it feels as if im being punished since i feel like i wont be able to get both the rotoscoping and the stop motion done in time.

what made me happy this week was when my application to rite aid got called on so hopefully ill be working soon.

what has frustrated me this week is of course the rotoscoping.

i cant wait to learn about 3D

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=357lH2tQ0vk

i chose this amv for my link vid cause it uses some interesting features and match quite well with the music and also because i needed to get these blogs done fast so i can get back to rotoscoping

The hobbit post

what i did not know:

  • i didn't know that they had to have a guy hopping around for Gollum
  • i also didn't know that they used 48 frames per second instead of 24
  • i also didn't know how popular motion capturing is becoming
i love how they have actors moving with these suits on to get a characters movements just the way they want them. also its interesting that they had the same guy from the lord of the rings come in and do the voice for our little "precious" friend. i will love to see this movie i think.

my question is will this movie be as good as i hope it will?

Independent film marketing post

what i didn't know:

  • that they use something to get so many views
  • that it ends up costing so much for a lot of views
  • that its used to attract viewers
i think that its very interesting they use this to get people to look at there videos at a pretty hefty cost

my one questions is that why do they need so much publicity really if people hear about it they will look for the video lol.

weekly comments post

what i learned:

  • i learned that flash takes a lot of frames for just a minute and a half long animation
  • i learned that its not easy to make a short little animation on a scientific discovery it takes a lot work way more than i thought it would
what i want to learn in the future:

  • i want to learn how make my animations feel to pop out more and surprise the viewer
  • i still cant wait till we learn how to make 3D animations
what frustrated me this week:

  • what frustrated me this week was the science animation project my eyes got so tired while working on it
  • another thing was when i read that princess article honestly i dont see why people care about ethnicity so much its not that big of a deal what race someone is the should be treated with the same feel no matter what there race
what made me happy this week:

  • one thing that made me happy was getting to say Happy Birthday Alex!!!!!!!!!
  • another thing that made me happy was hearing Paul's silence lol just kidding what really made me happy was getting some many frames done in my animation
Link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KK2jUbhp4yE&feature=relmfu
i chose this vid because it uses a lot of animation and also its called bloodlust what holiday could be close enough that a vid about vampires be a must need in your life lol but it does use a good amount of animation and it has its own kinda story behind it.

Disney new princess post

The ethnicity of a new Disney princess:

what i learned:

  • I learned that people really care of the ethnicity of a character
  • i also learned that disney is making a new princess (wich i honestly dont care about)
  • i also learned that just because disney didn't call her a latino princess people got all pissy about it
opinons:

  • i like the idea that disney tries to relate to other cultures in there films
  • i didn't like how people over reacted toward the ethnicity of a fictional character
Question:
does it really matter what the princesses ethnicity is?

film directing tips post

Film Directing Tips:
what i learned:

  • i learned that directors just tell the camera man and designers and such what they want to feel from there shots and costumes
  • i also learned that the kinda of directing they use on cameramen and such doesn't work on the actors
  • i did learn that the most important tool a director has is there voice i thought there might be other tools but i guess not
Opinions:

  • i liked how directors use there voice to get there points across
  • i don't like how directors get to say they made the movie when others actually did in a physical way did more work on it then the director did
Question:
why do directors have to speak differently to actors then everyone else its kinda weird?

why do employers want your log in info in the first place?

                                          Link:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CKWJRZr3a4c
this link is a amv that i think used good use of complements with the music and it was very well done i love amv's they are really good source of animation ideas and complementary work.

  • i learned that the story of the movie is intertwined with Burton
  • i also learned that Burton loves animation but most likely will always go back to live action
  • i also learned that Burton loves the creative feel of stop motion.
Opinions:
  • i really don't like how its black and white but it is still interesting
  • i do like how its going to be in 3D wich is pretty cool for a black and white film

What i learned this week was how annoying animation principles can be.
what i want to learn in the future is how to perfect using the animation principles.
the only thing that frustrated me this week was when i tried using the bone tool for certain parts
what made me happy this week was thinking this will all eventually help me with my dream of making video games hopefully.

ParaNorman post

i learned that they wanted to make the world seem bigger than usual in stop motion, i also didn't know that they used replaceable faces, i also didn't realize that close ups that were used were unusual to stop motion. i liked how in depth he went in explaining the processes they used in the movie, i also liked how they used replaceable faces in the movie thats cool. I was wondering though how did they get that like green transparent look to the ghosts.

Star trek the Next Generation post

i learned how that theres alot of series and movies of star trek, also learned that its very popular, i also learned that nerd culture is now pop culture. One thing i didn't like is how they just talk so much about star trek i really dont like it to me its boring, one thing i did like though was how they explained how far its come through the years. Why was this article only about star trek anyway?

Finding Nemo 3-D blog

i learned that Film companies make a big profit from converting movies to 3-D, i also learned that there are some 3-D haters, also i learned that 3-D movies are going down hill and will soon be back in the filem companies bag of tricks, i liked that they are making 3-D versions of movie classics such as the lion king, i dont like that 3-D movies are going down hill cause they are fun to watch, my only question is why do they keep making older movies into 3-D instead of making original 3-D Films.

i learned that certain gestures one might do can bring trust or distrust among others, i also learned that leaning back wich i do a bit is considered a untrusting action, i also learned that they can make a robot show emotions, i liked how a robot could show trust and distrust, i didn't like how i learned one of my leaning back in a chair things is called a untrusting act, i wonder how they made that robot show trust and untrust?
